Honors students are encouraged to take part in other life-enriching activities outside of the academic program. Such activities include some kind of volunteer work or service to enhance our community and the world around us. Working together for others not only gives valuable learning experiences but also builds relationships. Explore the opportunities available to you. Giving of yourself and your time will always pay off one way or the other.

Service organizations may or may not be associated with Fullerton College. Many of the organizations have volunteer opportunities that may also qualify for Service Learning credit which can be documented on your transcript for volunteering. Other opportunities, such as student government opportunities, may not qualify for Service Learning, but can still be valuable experiences to be mentioned on a resume or college application. To find out which opportunities qualify for Service Learning, feel free to stop by the Office of Special Programs and ask about the specific qualifications.
